I haven't tested it extensively but i can confirm fusion 360 works fine on my 8gb m1 macbook air, much faster in fact than it did on my 2018 air with the same configuration. I haven't tried a render, will do so. But for a complex calculation like embossing a complex pattern it was faster than my 2016 13 mbp 16gb ram for certain.
